About me
- A little something about me:
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Miroslav Kavić, and I was born on July 14, 1981, in the vibrant city of Zagreb. From a young age, I've always had an insatiable thirst for new experiences and a deep desire to explore and experiment within my own boundaries.
After completing high school, I found myself doing various jobs that were necessary but not necessarily fulfilling. From being a shopkeeper, DJ, waiter, and construction site manager to working as a warehouse manager, forklift driver, and delivery man, I encountered my fair share of challenges. I often found myself in conflicts with aspiring bosses who seemed to lack even the most basic skills. Nevertheless, I persevered and carried out my duties with a sense of responsibility.
However, it was during these times that I discovered my true passion: my hobbies. These moments of relaxation allowed me to focus on the smaller things in life and pay attention to every intricate detail. I was fascinated by everything, from the tiniest needle to the grandest locomotive. My skills extended across various materials, including wood, knauf, glass, and metals. It seemed as if there was nothing I couldn't do. My hobby projects, which I've proudly showcased in my photo gallery, always turned out exceptionally well.
But it was a pivotal moment when I decided to plant 500 chokeberry bushes and venture into the world of juice processing. The first berry harvest was abundant, and I couldn't help but try my hand at selling my products at fairs. I offered a range of delectable items, including jams, juices, teas made from dried berries and leaves, and powdered extracts. The response from people at the first fair on Ban Jelačić square in Zagreb was overwhelmingly positive. The satisfaction on their faces was priceless.
Over time, however, the market became saturated with competition, and unfortunately, some unscrupulous rivals resorted to deceitful practices, spreading misinformation about aronia products. This led to a decline in trust among consumers, and my business began to suffer. But I remained undeterred, always striving to provide the best for my customers.
During my travels to fairs across Croatia, I stumbled upon a newfound passion for minerals and semi-precious stones. Their vibrant colors and captivating shapes fascinated me, igniting my creativity. I began crafting exquisite jewelry, letting my imagination run wild. This newfound vocation was a perfect fit for me – I could do what I loved, explore new horizons, and be compensated for it.
The journey has been extraordinary. Along the way, I've had the pleasure of meeting countless individuals, traversing the breathtaking landscapes of Croatia, and soaking in knowledge and inspiration. However, the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic brought everything to a standstill. I was left with a surplus of jewelry but nowhere to sell it. That's when I met my friend Đurđica, who helped me establish a web shop. It was a great start, but nothing compared to the joy of fairs and tours around the Adriatic.
Last year, 2022 in the fifth month, I made a life-changing decision to move to Ireland with a friend. My goal here is to share my passion for semi-precious stones, exhibit my artwork, including paintings and jewelry, and establish a chain of galleries and souvenir shops throughout Ireland. The people here have a serene demeanor and a deep appreciation for handcrafted work. It's a place where I believe my creations will be cherished. While my sales primarily focus on Croatia during vacation periods, I'm open to exploring opportunities elsewhere.
On a personal note, I'm blessed with a beautiful granddaughter named Stella. Her name holds a special place in my heart, and she shares my love for jewelry. I envision her being a part of the story I'm creating, a testament to the bond between generations and the joy we find in the beauty of art.
I am excited to embark on this new chapter, where I can share my passion with new and future clients, bringing them the same joy and fulfillment that creating these works of art brings me. Life is a canvas, and I am determined to fill it with vibrant colors, one piece of jewelry at a time.
